Bhuj Railway Station<\/strong> in Gujarat, a project being executed with a budget of approximately \u20b9200 crore <\/strong>is a flagship under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme<\/em>.<\/p>

The New Bhuj Railway Station is emerging as one of the most modern railway stations in Gujarat, after Kalupur and Sabarmati stations in Ahmedabad. aXYKno has also been Transaction Advisors for Sabarmati Hub (under the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd – #NHSRCL, which has been successfully completed) #Bhuj station has been designed with a vision for the next 50 years.<\/p>

“Eiffel Tower” Scale Steelwork<\/strong> The station’s most unique feature is its massive steel structure. The project utilizes a quantity of steel comparable to that of the Eiffel Tower to create a durable, earthquake-resistant, and aesthetically striking “space frame” roof.<\/p>

Architecture Inspired by Kutch<\/strong> The design is not just modern but culturally rooted. The facade and interior motifs are inspired by the Rann of Kutch<\/strong>, incorporating traditional local art and geometric patterns into a “Smart Station” framework. Designed with a vision for the next 50 years.<\/p>

Massive Passenger Capacity<\/strong><\/p>

  • Size:<\/strong> The main building spans 37 lakh sq. ft<\/strong>, with a secondary entrance of 11,600 sq. ft.<\/li>
  • Concourse:<\/strong> A giant 35,000 sq. ft. air-conditioned roof plaza<\/strong> (concourse) above the tracks will house waiting lounges, food courts, and retail shops to prevent platform crowding.<\/li>
  • Volume:<\/strong> Built to handle over 11,000 passengers<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>

    Boasts Modern Amenities<\/strong><\/p>

    • Accessibility:<\/strong> 13 lifts and 10 escalators making it fully “Divyang-friendly.”<\/li>
    • Parking:<\/strong> Extensive underground parking for 400 two-wheelers, 50 cars, and 30 auto-rickshaws, including Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations<\/strong>.<\/li>
    • Eco-Friendly:<\/strong> Features a 500 KWP solar power plant<\/strong>, rainwater harvesting, and a 560 KLD sewage treatment plant.<\/li><\/ul>

      Strategic Connectivity<\/strong><\/p>

      The station is being upgraded alongside the recent Bhuj-Naliya broad-gauge conversion<\/strong>, making it a central hub for tourism (Rann Utsav) and industrial growth near the Jakhau and Mundra ports.<\/p>

      With the emphasis on “multi-modal integration,” ensuring that the railway station connects seamlessly with other forms of transport like buses and taxis to provide a smooth “last-mile” travel experience.<\/p>
