Bhuj Railway Station in Gujarat, a project being executed with a budget of approximately ₹200 crore is a flagship under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

“Eiffel Tower” Scale Steelwork The station’s most unique feature is its massive steel structure. The project utilizes a quantity of steel comparable to that of the Eiffel Tower to create a durable, earthquake-resistant, and aesthetically striking “space frame” roof.
Architecture Inspired by Kutch The design is not just modern but culturally rooted. The facade and interior motifs are inspired by the Rann of Kutch, incorporating traditional local art and geometric patterns into a “Smart Station” framework. Designed with a vision for the next 50 years.
Massive Passenger Capacity
- Size: The main building spans 37 lakh sq. ft, with a secondary entrance of 11,600 sq. ft.
- Concourse: A giant 35,000 sq. ft. air-conditioned roof plaza (concourse) above the tracks will house waiting lounges, food courts, and retail shops to prevent platform crowding.
- Volume: Built to handle over 11,000 passengers
Boasts Modern Amenities
- Accessibility: 13 lifts and 10 escalators making it fully “Divyang-friendly.”
- Parking: Extensive underground parking for 400 two-wheelers, 50 cars, and 30 auto-rickshaws, including Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations.
- Eco-Friendly: Features a 500 KWP solar power plant, rainwater harvesting, and a 560 KLD sewage treatment plant.
Strategic Connectivity
The station is being upgraded alongside the recent Bhuj-Naliya broad-gauge conversion, making it a central hub for tourism (Rann Utsav) and industrial growth near the Jakhau and Mundra ports.
